Unconventional, imaginative and always curious.

Artist, author, cultural champion, organisational leader, change agent and board director. Two sell-out solo exhibitions.

It’s a calm and quiet place that gives energy to each of my works. Ink, paper, textures and serenity. Parts and the whole.

I was guided by some of Western Australia’s great artists in my early fine art studies and am influenced by Buddhist sentiments, a Zen aesthetic, rich colour, imperfection, non-conforming, repetition, shades and stains.

My first exhibition, Hatched, was born with the discovery of evacuated silkworm cocoons in Shanghai - a city that changed my life.

Having led game-changing initiatives at the National Gallery of Australia, I have an acute sense of the world in which artists work and the challenges we face. The major campaign ‘Know my Name’ which promoted Australian women and non-binary artists has been a career highlight.

Making art is my first love.
